Elaine’s hobbies include painting and gardening. Her subjects include landscapes, seascapes, flowers, pet portraits, wildlife, and many other subjects. Her style incorporates a variety of methods from impressionism, surrealism, realism, or a combination where the foreground is realistic and the background is suggested.

Elaine’s enjoyment of the arts began at age ten when she received her first coloring book. She graduated to paint by numbers sets and at the age of sixteen received an oil painting set for Christmas and has not stopped painting since.

September 2008, Elaine moved to Burlington, NC and is now a member of the Burlington Artist League and the Alamance Artisans Guild.
