The 2010 year is off on a good pace with the BAL Members Only Small Art competition that takes place in February.  The exhibit will hang from January 28 through March 1, 2010.  The opening reception will be on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 2pm.  There will be refreshments and an awards presentation at the reception.

Entry into the competition is limited to BAL members only, although anyone over 18 can join the BAL and submit their art for the competion at the same time.  Well-known area artist and art teacher Rodney Moser will judge the entries on Thursday, January 28.  The announcement and awarding of the cash prizes will take place on Sunday, January 31 at the Opening Reception from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.  The public is cordially invited to attend.   The art will be for sale and the exhibit will hang throughout the month of February.

Following the February BAL Member’s Small Art Competition the Gallery will host the artist team of Carolyn and James Teague as the Gallery’s March Featured Artists.  They will be exhibiting for sale, a collection of their new works in watercolor, oils, and acrylics.  The Teagues will host an opening reception on Sunday, March 7, from 2 to 4 pm to which the public is cordially invited.

The Bal Fine Arts Gallery is located at Burlington Square Mall near Sears.  The hours of operation are Monday- Friday 12 Noon to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.  Except for special announced occasions, the BAL Gallery is closed on Sunday.  The Burlington Artists League holds its monthly meeting on the third Thursday evening of the month at the BAL Fine Arts Gallery.  The meeting and program begin at 7:00 pm and the public is invited to attend.
